There is a his­to­ry of US com­pa­nies ex­port­ing their pol­lut­ing in­dus­tries to de­vel­op­ing coun­tries. This is no dif­fer­ent, and the ex­ploita­tion of de­vel­op­ing coun­tries con­tin­ue.

Ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence (AI) is trans­form­ing in­dus­tries, tech­nol­o­gy com­pa­nies are pour­ing bil­lions of dol­lars in­to com­put­ing in­fra­struc­ture, and coun­tries across the world are com­pet­ing to host the da­ta cen­tres that pow­er the next gen­er­a­tion of AI mod­els.
